Spring Lake Music

The second graders will start working on their concert music. “The Incredible Reindeer,” by Teresa Jennings has a fun story for the kids to tell and some great songs to sing. Please look for more information about this special event in your child’s folder soon! Concert date is: Thursday, December 17 at 7pm.

All 1st through 4th grade students have been showing their Laker spirit and pride by singing the Laker Fight song in music class. We are so proud of our school community!

The second graders have been enjoying singing about animals, chanting some “teen talk”, getting some interesting mail in a game song( Who Sent Me A Letter?), and showing the rhythm patterns they know in a game (Fish Sticks!) WOW! We sure have been busy!

Welcome back awesome 2nd graders! Here are a few things we will do in music this year: Christmas concert in December, playing the Orff instruments (xylophone, metallophone), singing, creating our own short songs, more singing, and playing lots of music games. Our new monthly game this year is called “Where in the World.” Get ready to travel the globe with this fun game!
